Wednesday 14th March – 14:40 RSA Steeplechase

The Royal and Sun Alliance Chase is a Grade 1 steeplechase covering a distance of 3 miles 110 yards over the Cheltenham Old Course and is open to novice racehorses who are 5 years or older who are making the transition from hurdling to steeplechase. The race has 19 fences  and a prize fund of £150000. The Royal and Sun Alliance are the old sponsors at Cheltenham, having sponsored this race for 26 years in one or other of its guises (Sun Alliance, Royal Sun Alliance, RSA)
