The David Nicholson Mares Hurdle is a Grade 2 National Hunt race that is run over 2 miles and 4 furlongs on the Old Course at Cheltenham. This is only the fifth time the race has been run, as it was added to the Cheltenham Festival to expand it into a four day festival. The race is named after David Nicholson who was a successful jockey and trainer, having ridden 5 winners and trained 17 at Cheltenham. The race is open to mares aged 4 years and older.
