The 2012 Cheltenham Festival Trophy is a Grade 3 National Hunt Chase which is open to horses aged 5 years or older. It is run on the Cheltenham Old Course over a distance of 3 miles and 110 yards with 19 fences to negotiate. William Hill have sponsored the race since 1998 up until last year when the sponsorship has been undertaken by the Stewart Family. Winners of the race will often go on to race in the Grand National.
